"A 503,000 (GBP) lottery grant will help a team of experts led by University of East Anglia researchers gain a better understanding of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME).
"Researchers at UEA, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Hull-York Medical School will undertake pilot studies in East Anglia, Yorkshire and London to establish a national ME Research Observatory, collecting data on a range of clinical and social factors but also on the social impact of CFS/ME, which affects up to 240,000 people in the UK."
