The ME Association has made the following announcements:

Dr Jonathan Kerr in Ireland – May 6 and 7

Dr Jonathan Kerr will talk about his genetic research into ME at two meetings being organised by the Irish ME/CFS Support Group on Saturday May 6 and Sunday May 7.

On May 6, he will be speaking at the Mount Clare Hotel, Clare Street, off Merrion Square, Dublin 2 at 2.30pm.

On May 7, he will be at The Granville Hotel, The Quay, Waterford, also at 2.30pm.

Dr Kerr heads a team working at Imperial College, London.

Admission to each meeting will be €5 (Five Euros).

And:

Dr Charles Shepherd lecture, Galway – May 20

Dr Charles Shepherd, medical adviser to The ME Association and author of "Living with ME", will give a talk entitled:

"ME/CFS Research and Management Update: Sorting out Fact, Fiction and Uncertainty."

on May 20th in Galway in the Courtyard Hotel, Headford Point, Headford Road (just off the Kirwin Roundabout and near the Galway Shopping Centre). Registration commences at 2:45pm, the talk itself will start at 3pm. Free Entrance. Open to all.

The event is being organised by ME Support Galway.

If anyone is travelling to this talk and want to stay overnight in the Coutryard Hotel (Phone 091-513200) you can get a special rate for Friday and/or Saturday night (19th and 20th May) if you mention you are attending this talk on Saturday. (You have to do the booking yourself and pay yourself, not through the Galway group.)
